Basic Training Graduation Ceremony

Brandon is currently the Company Commander for Bravo Company of 2-58 Infantry Basic Training Battalion.

This weekend, he graduated his first cycle of new privates. YEA!!!

This job has taken A LOT more time than we expected, but now we are happy that Brandon will have about 3 weeks of 'down-time' before his next cycle picks up.

Joseph and I were there to check out the festivities.

They did a fight simulation, which Joseph thought was AWESOME!!! He kept saying, "OOOh....COOOOL!!!" and "Cuck, Cuck!" (translation: Truck, Truck!)

All the while, Joseph was waving his American Flag and smiling ear to ear! Too bad his back was to me; I couldn't get a good picture of that.

Preparing for my baby sister

No baby sister yet, but we are getting closer!!

While we are waiting we thought we would make some changes around the house so that we are prepared for her. We started in the 'nursery', which will be shared by Joseph and his sister.

I changed the crib bedding out the other day, since...

Joseph has taken quite well to his new twin bed!

(Mom likes it too!!!)

Infant carseat, or Joseph's new recliner??? Hmmm....

Joseph found Brandon's bike helmet and LOVES to wear it around the house, no matter what he is doing!

Helmets, very important when playing with a beach ball!

I love this little smile!!!

Uncle Joe visited for a couple days before going to Ranger school. Joseph loves his Uncle Joe!

Ok. That is it for now. I will update again at some point. I am not even going to kid myself by saying I will update again soon! :-) What can I say, I try!!!
